About us…
Stéphanie Hecquet-Lepoutre,
I was born in Villeneuve d’Ascq in northern France. I am an international law specialist and worked in humanitarian aid for the UNHCR for 20 years.
Olivier Hecquet,
I was born in Seclin in northern France. I am an engineer and have worked in development aid for 20 years; before that, I worked for Peugeot.
We met in Argentina, got married and our first child was born in Buenos Aires. From there, we lived on three continents (South America, Africa and Asia) for our work. Our twins were later born while we were living in Kinshasa, Congo.
The Hecquet side of the family is originally from Estrée-Wamin. We took over le Moulin Sainte-Marie in 2005 and came every summer to carry out renovation work.
En 2016, j’ai demandé un congé sans solde, et j’ai suivi Olivier pour notre dernière expatriation en famille au Laos. C’est là-bas que j’ai commencé à donner des cours de yoga à temps plein. Nous sommes revenus en France en juillet 2019.
Il y a d’abord eu l’ouverture du studio de yoga Anandena en décembre 2019 et en juillet 2021 les chambres d'hôtes. On a essayé de préserver l'authenticité du moulin d'origine tant à l'intérieur qu'à l'extérieur, et nous avons décoré les chambres de nos souvenirs de vie à l’étranger, d’où les noms des chambres – Maroc, Sahel et Orient.
